Trial Greenhouse

The in-house production of azalea was started in 1984 with two key objectives: practice-oriented scientific research together with the improvement of azalea and rhododendrons quality and breeding types.

The total research infrastructure has grown to 10,000 m2 greenhouses on a total surface area of 4 ha. It consists of, among other things, 4 types of greenhouse constructions and 5000m² of outdoor space. All investigations are privately funded. Growers, suppliers, trade, private individuals and government can call on our services.

The infrastructure is used daily as a “normal” production company. About 250,000 plants are grown annually to find their way to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, France, Italy, …

The research can relate to new cultivation systems, new phytoproducts , new cultivation substrates, biological pesticides, water recovery systems , …
